At the moment, intensive preparatory work is underway to vaccinate employees close to care in the Halland Region.
Vaccination has been initiated to a very limited extent by employee groups in critical functions.
This takes place in parallel with the vaccination of priority groups in Phase 1, including those who live in nursing homes and those who have home health care.
- The Swedish Public Health Agency already decided a few weeks ago that healthcare staff can be vaccinated alongside those in phase 1. We have now come to the conclusion that this staff group should be given priority.
It is critical that we have them at work, says Johanna Wiechel-Steier, communications director at the Region.
