The former parish priest of the port of Nice, where he served in the youth chaplaincies from the 1980s, was indicted in 2018 for sexual assault on minors under 15.

Two complaints out of a dozen for whom the prescription is not raised

Of the ten complaints that have been filed against the priest of Nice, there are now two for whom the prescription is not raised.

One, born in 1985, assisted by Me Ehrenfeld, lodged a complaint in 2019 for facts dating from a trip to Rome in 1997. The other, born in 1982, situates the facts in 1996 when he was a student at Stanislas , a private Catholic institution.

"My client would not have spoken if he had not learned that the priest treated the plaintiffs as liars", indicates his lawyer, Me Jérôme Cas.

In France, in cases of sexual violence against a minor, the statute of limitations is established twenty years after the victim comes of age.

The ex-chaplain, released on bail in December 2018 after a brief incarceration, lives on the Côte d'Azur.
