- We see it as cautiously positive figures because both the number of positive cases and the proportion of cases have decreased slightly, says Malin Bengnér, infection control doctor in Jönköping County.
In the last week, 6974 samples were taken in the county.
1069 of them were positive, which gives a share of 15 percent.
The number of positive cases increased steadily in the county throughout the autumn, to around 1400 during Christmas and New Year. In recent weeks, it has fallen to just over 1,000.
- We have a calmer situation now but it is not time to relax.
Within a couple of weeks, we will see how the spread of infection is affected by the fact that we have returned to work and everyday life again, says Malin Bengnér.
