Kiel (dpa / lno) - The 350,000 students in Schleswig-Holstein receive half-yearly reports despite the corona pandemic.

As the Ministry of Education announced on Thursday, there are four options.

Pupils can pick up their certificate with an appointment at school.

The grades can also be transmitted via telephone / video conference - and the written certificate is then handed over at the start of the classroom teaching.

At the request of the parents, the schools can also send a copy of the certificate by email.

The original should only be sent by post in exceptional cases.

"Normally, certificates are handed out personally to all students at school on the last day of school," said Education Minister Karin Prien (CDU).

This is currently not necessary because of the pandemic.

She recommends that schools initially only inform parents and pupils verbally, and then hand over the actual certificate at a later date.

There is a hygiene plan for collections.

If necessary, parents and students should also have the opportunity to talk to the teachers personally.

The school leaving certificates were the topic of the Conference of Ministers of Education on Thursday.

"We want the students in this school year, which is marked by the pandemic, to have no avoidable disadvantages for their further educational biography and to acquire full school qualifications," said Prien.

"The qualifications obtained this year will be equivalent to those of earlier and later years and will be mutually recognized."
