Munich (dpa) - FC Bayern is also dealing with Dayot Upamecano from Bundesliga competitor RB Leipzig in the upcoming redesign of its defense this summer.
"We will of course deal with it, not only with these personnel, but fundamentally in which positions we want to do what and have to do", said the chairman of the board Karl-Heinz Rummenigge on Thursday at "Bild live".
But it is “a little too early” to assume that Upamecano will move to Munich.
"The player is in Leipzig at least until the end of the season," remarked Rummenigge.
However, it is known that the 22-year-old Frenchman then has an exit clause in his contract.
This is repeatedly estimated at 45 million euros.
Rummenigge pointed out that when making personnel decisions, "in times of corona, the cash situation is also an important factor".
