Ravensburg (dpa / lsw) - Manfred Spitzer, neuroscientist and psychiatrist at the Ulm University Hospital, warns of the consequences of long school closings.

"Ten weeks of school closure, as we already had last spring and now have again, leave traces in the biographies of the people affected for almost life: less education, lifetime earnings and a greater likelihood of psychological problems or even illnesses," said Spitzer in the " Schwäbische Zeitung »from Thursday.

From his point of view, reduced teaching - for example in small groups, two to three times for two hours every week - would have been less harmful.

According to all that is known, this would not have changed the infection process significantly.

"Especially since even small children can wear masks, as we are shown in Asia."
