Straubenhardt (dpa / lsw) - The police caught two men in the Enzkreis who are said to have stolen several liters of petrol at a gas station.
According to initial investigations, a 37-year-old is said to have filled a canister at a gas pump at a gas station in Straubenhardt while his alleged accomplice was waiting for him in the car, as the police announced on Thursday.
The duo is said to have driven away with their stolen property on Wednesday.
In the neighboring village, police became aware of the car and started the chase, shortly afterwards they were able to temporarily arrest the alleged thieves.
In the car of the two, the police found the canister with the allegedly stolen gasoline.
There is also the suspicion that the car had false license plates and that the 43-year-old driver does not have a driver's license.
Both men must now expect a complaint.
