Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - More and more municipalities in the southwest are approaching the incidence value of 50.

Among the 44 city and rural districts, there are currently four that are approaching the threshold from which health authorities can track infection chains again and loosening is possible.

According to figures from the State Health Office on Thursday, a municipality in the Tübingen district has already broken the hurdle.

The incidence value of 50 means that the number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants in seven days is 50.

On Wednesday Tübingen fell below this mark with a value of 49.4;

three other municipalities were below 60. Their number had risen to four on Thursday: Except for Primus Tübingen, the Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald district moved up to 50 with 52.4.

The Hohenlohekreis had a value of 55.9, followed by Rastatt with 59.2 and Baden-Baden with 59.8.

Pforzheim carried the red lantern with 181. The 7-day incidence nationwide on Thursday was 96.2.

The day before it had slipped below 100 for the first time since the end of October.

The number of registered corona infections in Baden-Württemberg rose to 281 366 compared to Wednesday 1916. In addition, as on the previous day, 95 more deaths related to the corona virus were reported.

The number of those who died of and with Corona reached 6513. 240 832 people are considered recovered.
