As Joe Biden's inauguration ceremony took place in Washington on Wednesday, Donald Trump reached his luxury residence in Mar-a-Lago, Florida on a final flight in Air Force One.

The former president should spend a few weeks there, before seeking a new permanent residence.

It was in his luxury residence in Mar-a-Lago, Florida, that Donald Trump began his life as a former president on Wednesday.

As the inauguration ceremony of his Democratic successor, Joe Biden, began to be in full swing in Washington, the billionaire arrived by car in Palm Beach, escorted by about thirty cars.

He got there by a final flight in Air Force One, on board which had taken his wife, Melania, their son, Barron as well as the children of Donald Trump, Ivanka, Donald Jr and Eric.

When he arrived, hundreds of fans lined the road, waving Trump campaign flags or American flags.

Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner also move to Florida

The ex-president went directly to his residence, an Italian-style palace planted among palm trees.

While there are private apartments, a large part of the residence also accommodates members, on the model of a luxury club.

Donald Trump should therefore acquire another house in order to make it his main residence in the days to come.

His children also decided to make their home in Florida.

His daughter Ivanka and son-in-law Jared Kushner bought land on a private island in Miami for some $ 30 million.

With many supporters still in Florida, including the governor, the Trumps will find a more hospitable land there than Washington and especially New York, where they used to live but are no longer welcome.
