The alarm about the fire that started at the Espresso House came shortly after half past one.

Initially, there was a great risk that the fire would spread further but could be limited by the rescue service.

- When we arrived, it was a fully developed fire.

We deployed three forces immediately and quickly got the fire under control, says Gunnar Henriksson, internal commander of Mälardalen's fire and rescue association.

A couple of hours later, the police arrested a man in his 55s who is suspected of having something to do with the fire.

A preliminary investigation into arson has been launched.

The mall has been cordoned off for technical inspection to be carried out as soon as possible. During the morning, the rescue service is on site and runs smoke fans, among other things.
