Düsseldorf (dpa / lnw) - The North Rhine-Westphalian companies exported goods worth 16.2 billion euros last year.

That is 0.7 percent more than a year earlier, as the State Statistical Office IT.NRW announced on Thursday based on preliminary figures.

The value of imports, on the other hand, was 1.9 percent lower than in November 2019 at 20.0 billion euros.

In terms of export value, exports from North Rhine-Westphalia to the Netherlands and Switzerland fell the most.

The highest increases were in exports to China and Belgium.
