Berlin (AP) - Union Berlin's defender Florian Huebner has been banned for two games by the sports court of the German Football Association after the dispute with Bayer Leverkusen's Nadiem Amiri.
The investigators of the DFB control committee found no evidence for the accusation of racist insult.
Hübner is missing the Eisern in the Bundesliga because of unsporting behavior in the games on Saturday at FC Augsburg and a week later against Borussia Mönchengladbach.
«I was rightly punished for my behavior in the verbal argument with the Leverkusen player Nadiem Amiri.
It is of fundamental importance for me that the sports court and the DFB assume that I myself have been verbally attacked beforehand and that my statements were not discriminatory or in any way racist, ”Huebner was quoted in a statement from his club on Thursday.
The 29-year-old also has to pay a fine of 20,000 euros.
The DFB investigation against Huebner's team-mate Cedric Teuchert was discontinued, according to Union Berlin.
A violation of the striker against the DFB legal and procedural rules could therefore not be determined.
During and after the Bundesliga game last Friday between Union and Bayer (1-0), there were verbal arguments between players from both clubs.
The focus was on a dispute between Hübner and Amiri after the final whistle.

Subsequently, Leverkusen's Jonathan Tah had reported a racist insult against Amiri Hübner, which he had not heard himself.
The DFB control committee then started investigations.
