Dresden (dpa / sn) - The East Saxon craft is grappling with the economic consequences of the corona pandemic.

According to a representative online survey by the Dresden Chamber of Crafts, two thirds of the participating companies are directly or indirectly affected by the crisis.

"As a result of the pandemic, many companies have very real existential concerns," said President Jörg Dittrich, speaking of a "serious situation".

He criticized the slow disbursement of the government support promised months ago and the complicated application process.

"The money must flow quickly to prevent a company from dying in East Saxony, in the entire Free State."
