January 21, 2021First meeting between government and trade unions

tomorrow

morning on the Recovery plan.

Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte had promised this during his speech in Parliament on trust: on the plan for recovery "we will listen to them", underlining how "the trade unions strengthen the social stability of the country".

The themes are many, not just the EU-funded recovery plan.

The social partners ask for the plan to be discussed in a transparent way, taking into account their suggestions and requests.

On the

Recovery

Cgil Cisl and Uil ask for "a social pact for growth and development".

Provided that it has at its center "work and the real economy".

Extensive interventions required at work.

The main one concerns the extension of the

freeze on layoffs

which expires at the end of March and the reform of

social

safety

nets to guarantee coverage also for 2021, because, according to the unions, "the current tools are not adequate to manage a crisis situation".

The government has never denied wanting to give continuity to the work of

layoff

and ordinary check with additional 26 weeks of Cig Covid.

Less certainty about the extension of the redundancy block that sees companies deeply opposed.

We are working on a selective halt to

Naspi

layoffs

and

citizenship income

.

"The support measures in favor of businesses and self-employed workers will be selective and will mainly consist of tax credits in order to promote tax compliance", explained the Minister of Economy, Roberto Gualtieri.

For 2021, the government is working on the so-called "

contributory white year

".

The State will then take charge of the contributions of part of the self-employed and holders of VAT numbers.

Those who have a maximum income of 50,000 euros per year, who have suffered a 33% decrease in turnover, due to the lockdown, will be able to take advantage of this measure.

Monday

Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte called the business associations on Monday morning.

The discussion on the national recovery plan is on the table.

It starts with

Confindustria

at 9, then the other confederations will follow including

Confcommercio

,

Confartigianato

,

Cna

,

Confapi

and

Confersercenti

.

Conte will always meet with the employers' associations on Monday for a discussion on the Recovery Plan.

Tuesday

Tuesday morning at 10 the premier will meet the Abi leaders.

Also on Tuesday, Regions, Municipalities and Provinces will meet the Prime Minister, Giuseppe Conte, to take stock of the Recovery plan.

This is what the Minister for Regional Affairs, Francesco Boccia, announced at the end of the State-Regions Conference and the Unified Conference.

The summit is set for 4 pm. The governors, the Executive and Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte himself will discuss and launch proposals - on the expenditure of part of the more than 200 billion that arrive from Europe.

The president of the Conference of the Regions, Stefano Bonaccini, announces the proposal for a regulation "which directly provides for the allocation of resources for the year 2021".

On the negotiating table there is also the request for refreshments for 4.5 billion linked to the ski sector.
