Biden threatens White House staff: I'll fire you immediately if you do this
US President Joe Biden has said that he will not tolerate any employee in the White House insulting a colleague and will be immediately fired from work.
Biden said during the swearing-in ceremony for White House staff, "I'm not kidding when I say this .. If I hear that you are treating another colleague with disrespect, I will dismiss you immediately."
And he continued: "Immediately, no exceptions or reservations, everyone, everyone has the right to be treated with dignity and respect," according to "CNN".
He added, "This has been missing significantly over the past four years (referring to the time of his predecessor, Donald Trump," and continued, "But I am sure you have the ability to do so."
On his first day at the White House, the new president said: "We have a lot to do, I know you, I know your heart, your dedication, and your commitment to this nation, and I know you can do it."
He added, "We will be judged whether or not we have restored the integrity and competence of this government."
He continued, "We will do so through leadership with the core American values of unity, humility, trust, collegiality, diversity, competence, and family."
Biden said, "I desperately need your help, the last thing I will say, I will make mistakes. When he does, I will admit it and tell you, I will need your help to help me correct it."
"We will not run away. We will take responsibility. This is what we do. This is what you are doing. This is what many of you have done throughout your career and I expect you to do it again."
