Rostock (dpa / mv) - In Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, 274 new corona infections were registered on Thursday.

That was 26 less than a week ago, as the State Office for Health and Social Affairs (Lagus) in Rostock announced (as of 4.30 p.m.).

The number of infections per 100,000 inhabitants in the past seven days fell from 113.6 on Wednesday to 107.9.

4 people died with or from the virus.

This increased the total number of deaths related to Covid-19 since the beginning of the pandemic to 344.

The total number of proven corona infections since March rose nationwide to 17,824. 13,925 are now considered to have recovered.

The district of Vorpommern-Greifswald continues to have the highest incidence value.

There, 195.2 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants were identified within seven days.

In Rostock, the region with the lowest value in the country, the seven-day incidence fell to 45.4.

According to the Lagus, a further 1,316 people across the country received their second vaccination against Covid-19 on Wednesday.

This increased the number of people who were second vaccinated in the country to 3017. 2243 people received their first vaccination, so that a total of 44 449 people in MV have already received a first dose.

According to Lagus, the rate of people with a first vaccination was 2.76 percent.

Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania continues to have the highest rate nationwide.
