President Moon Jae-in sent a congratulatory message shortly after the inauguration ceremony of US President Biden was over.

President Moon wrote at the congratulations, "I wish to meet face-to-face in the near future and have open conversations about common interests."

It was first proposed to hold the Korea-US summit as soon as possible.

It seems that the two leaders are willing to meet face-to-face and make a breakthrough in order to reopen the deadlocked dialogue between the two countries.

President Moon then directly presided over the National Security Council after 1 year and 10 months.

He said he would cooperate closely with neighboring countries for peace on the Korean Peninsula, and urged the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Security to make their final efforts in their fifth year in office.

[President Moon Jae-in: The peace process on the Korean Peninsula is not an option, it is a path that must be followed.

I hope that you will be determined to be the last one year given to our government.]

Candidate Eui-Yong, Minister of Foreign Affairs, who faced a difficult homework, expressed a short but clear determination.

[Jeong Eui-yong / Candidate for the Minister of Foreign Affairs: We will do our best to make the peace process on the Korean Peninsula take root.]

Candidate Jung is expected to visit the US for an early conclusion of the summit as soon as he passes the personnel hearing.
