The news of fewer vaccine deliveries came on Friday 15 January.

Among other things, after the pharmaceutical company Pfizer decided to reduce vaccine deliveries to EU countries.

In Skåne, there are about 20 percent fewer doses than expected.

-I am very annoyed with the state and the vaccine coordinator that they are not able to deliver the vaccine that they told us we would get.

It makes sense for us when it changes from day to day about what messages we receive, says Gilbert Tribo (L).

The vaccination rate is reduced

The plan was that more people in special homes and care staff would be vaccinated during the week, but the reduction in deliveries has led to several of these now having to wait.

- It will be a huge disappointment for those who have received information that they would get the vaccine on Monday and who now could not get it, says Gilbert Tribo (L).

The second dose is prioritized

Region Skåne is now reviewing how the coming weeks' delivery forecasts affect the planning, where a large part of the priority is to ensure that a second dose is available to those who have already been vaccinated.

- In order for it to provide full protection, you have to get your second dose, and then it is a very high priority that we can get the second dose, says Gilbert Tribo (L).

SVT Nyheter Skåne has sought Sweden's vaccine coordinator Richard Bergström for a comment.
