In the last 24 hours, 998 people have tested positive for covid-19.

One week ago, the average for seven days was 1,430 positive, which means that the number of infected Scanians continues to fall.

In recent days, the average has been just under a thousand infected per day - which has not happened since the third of December.

The day before Christmas Eve, the average figure was 1,600 people.

Fewer people are cared for in hospitals - but just as many at IVA

The number of people cared for in hospitals for covid-19 also continues to decrease in Skåne, while the pressure on the intensive care units remains high.

Now 378 people are cared for in the care department.

On January 7, the number was 568 people.

At IVA, on the other hand, the number of patients remains at a largely unchanged level with 61 people.
