The New York City Police Department stated that at 2:30 pm on the 19th, a 40-year-old woman of Chinese descent jumped off the 10th floor of an apartment in Flushing. The medical staff rushed to the scene and announced that the woman was dead on the spot.
According to residents who lived on the same floor with the deceased, the deceased had worked as a babysitter before his death, but after the outbreak of the new crown, he was unemployed around March 2020 and was unable to pay rent recently.
