The winner of the ski cross world cup, Frenchman Bastien Midol won the fourth world cup event of his career on Wednesday at Idre Fjäll (Sweden), where his compatriot François Place took third place.
The Swede Viktor Andersson is inserted between them, while Jonathan Midol, eliminated in the quarterfinals, is in 9th position.
Jean-Frédéric Chapuis, the gold medalist from Sochi (2014) did not take the start due to back pain.
“I am really happy,” said Bastien Midol.
"It's a good feeling before the weekend races."
Competitions continue in Idre Fjäll, with qualifying Thursday and Friday and finals Saturday and Sunday.
