In the autumn of 2019, the Swedish Migration Agency Sala municipality refused compensation for care of unaccompanied young people.

The municipality chose to appeal a total of seven cases.

This corresponds to compensation of approximately SEK 2.5 million.

After a long-running dispute, the administrative court in Karlstad has now ruled in favor of the municipality on all points.

In an email to Sala Allehanda, the Swedish Migration Agency writes that they have not yet made a decision on whether to appeal the decision.
