Ministry of Transport: It is estimated that about 1.7 billion passengers will be sent during the National Spring Festival in 2021
Today (January 20) at 15:00, the State Council’s Joint Prevention and Control Mechanism held a press conference.
At the meeting, Wang Xiuchun, deputy director of the Service Department of the Transportation Department of the Ministry of Transport, introduced that this year's Spring Festival travel is the first Spring Festival travel under the normalization of epidemic prevention and control.
It is estimated that around 1.7 billion passengers will be sent during the Spring Festival travel season nationwide in 2021, with an average of almost 40 million passengers per day. This is a decrease of more than 40% from 2019 and an increase of more than 10% from 2020. The pressure of the Spring Festival is still relatively high.
