Munich (dpa / lby) - Libraries in Bavaria will soon be allowed to open to pick up books that have been ordered in advance.

The cabinet decided on Wednesday in Munich.

In the case of libraries and archives, according to the State Chancellery, the collection of pre-ordered items is made possible under the same conditions as the so-called "Click & Collect" is now also possible in stores.

This means, among other things, that a FFP2 mask is required for those collecting the goods, minimum distances are observed, there is a hygiene concept and crowds are prevented.

In the past few weeks the opposition had repeatedly called for such a permit for libraries.
