21.45 tonight is the premiere of SVT's new interview program 30 minutes.

There, Anders Holmberg seeks answers and goes in depth with a current person in power.

First out is the Moderates' party leader Ulf Kristersson, who now explains why he has opened up to negotiate with the Sweden Democrats.

Kristersson has had several meetings with SD's party leader Jimmie Åkesson and Kristersson says in the program that he thinks that the Sweden Democrats have become more serious in their politics.

- I think that the Sweden Democrats' rhetoric has changed a lot in recent years.

They have broadened politically and are participating much more seriously in parliamentary work.

In the conversations we have had with them regarding, for example, criminal policy, immigration policy and part of energy policy, I think they have been serious and constructive.

And they have been as constructive as everyone else during the corona pandemic, says Ulf Kristersson in the program.

Do not want to form a government with SD

Kristersson points out, however, that the Moderates do not want to form a government with SD.

- I have told the Sweden Democrats, and I stand for that, that we are happy to cooperate with you on issues where we feel about the same.

And if we can solve the problem of government, we are prepared to compromise with them on those issues.

But we will not form a joint government, but we intend to form a government with the Christian Democrats, he says.
