Three weeks after the rave party in Lieuron (Ille-et-Vilaine), the investigation continues to find the organizers.

This Wednesday morning, "five people were arrested in Ille-et-Vilaine by the Redon research brigade and placed in police custody", indicates Philippe Astruc, public prosecutor of Rennes.

After the opening of a judicial investigation, led by two investigating judges, four people have already been indicted after the illegal party which brought together 2,500 people for New Years Eve south of Rennes.

One of them was remanded in custody.

The lawyer for this 22-year-old young man, arrested on January 2 in Iffendic, has also asked for his release.

But the judge of freedoms and detention ruled on Tuesday in favor of keeping him in prison because of the risk of “fraudulent consultation”.

A call to protest launched for Saturday

In a text addressed to AFP, the "support committee for Maskarade in Rennes and the surrounding area" denounced these new arrests on Wednesday.

“This morning, various places were searched, people arrested and equipment seized.

This is too much !

This is a new affront to a youth first neglected and then criminalized by a whole political class which is looking for a scapegoat to make people forget its incompetence in the management of the health crisis ”, indicates the committee, which calls for a gathering of support Saturday in Rennes as well as in other cities of France.
