Augsburg (AP) - Front runner FC Bayern Munich and pursuers RB Leipzig have ended the first half of the Bundesliga with difficult successes.

The champions won 1-0 (1-0) at FC Augsburg, Leipzig also defeated 1. FC Union Berlin 1-0 (0-0).

This means that Bayern are four points ahead of Leipzig.

However, RB took back second place, which Bayer Leverkusen had climbed the day before with a 2-1 win in the chase duel against Borussia Dortmund.

In the relegation battle, 1. FC Köln achieved an important 2-1 (1-0) win against FC Schalke 04. The Domstadt team are still on the relegation place with 15 points, increasing their lead over 1. FSV Mainz 05 and bottom Schalke but on eight counters.
