European leaders are not shying away from their pleasure to finally see Donald Trump leave.

The most outspoken is certainly German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier.

He goes so far as to express his relief, a

sentiment he feels shared

by many in Germany - and indeed by most European leaders.

Now that the page is finally turned, all are on the same wavelength as the President of the Italian Council Giuseppe Conte, who says he is impatient to start working with Joe Biden.

It is a new dawn which dawns on the transatlantic relationship, for the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen who is delighted that the European Union has again a friend in the White House: “

The United States are back and the EU is ready.

It must be said that the files to be opened are numerous, underlines the President of the European Council Charles Michel.

It proposes a new pact to the United States and it summarizes the priorities put forward by all here: the climate, the pandemic, economic reconstruction and transatlantic trade, peace and security and above all the re-establishment of cooperation and multilateral world order.
