Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - Education Minister Susanne Eisenmann (CDU) wants to gradually bring the students back to schools in February.

The primary schools should start classroom teaching again from February 1st, emphasizes Eisenmann in a letter to the State Ministry, which is available to the German Press Agency.

In the first week of February, classes 1 and 2 could initially return, while classes 3 and 4 study at home for an extra week.

According to Eisenmann, daycare centers should open completely again from February 1st with operation in fixed groups.

For grades 5 to 7 there should initially be alternating operations.

After the carnival week at the latest, i.e. from February 22nd, all secondary schools should have started alternating classes.

The requirement to be present remains suspended, she writes.

The state government wants to decide on an opening concept next week.
