Dallas Stars put Julius Honga on the NHL transfer list on Wednesday, the TSN channel says.

Other NHL clubs now have 24 hours to pick up a Finnish defender with his current contract.

If Honka doesn’t find a new employer in the NHL, her games will continue with the AHL club in Texas Stars.

Honka, 25, returned to Dallas from the SM League for this season.

He signed a one-year and two-way deal with the club last October.

Dallas booked Honka’s 2014 NHL booking event in the first round.

In 2016–19, he played a total of 87 NHL regular season games with 2 + 11 power points.

Honka played last season in her breeder club JYP in the Finnish Championship League and started this season in the ranks of Lahti Pelicans. He had a great shot in Lahti and scored 3 + 4 power points in nine matches.
