Offenbach (dpa / lhe) - Small businesses in Hesse can apply for help for longer in the continued lockdown.

The Hessen microliquidity program has been extended to the end of June in coordination with the Ministry of Economics and Finance in Wiesbaden, the Wirtschafts- und Infrastrukturbank Hessen (WIBank) announced on Wednesday.

The state is providing an additional 150 million euros.

Hessen-Mikroliquidität is aimed at small businesses with a maximum of 50 employees and self-employed who have got into financial difficulties due to the Corona crisis.

The bridging loans of 3,000 to a maximum of 35,000 euros and a seven-year term are intended to cover liquidity gaps in the Corona crisis.

Applicants do not have to provide collateral, nor are they charged any fees, explained the Offenbach-based WIBank.

The program was initially limited to the end of the year and met with great interest.

According to the development bank, new applications can probably only be submitted from the beginning of February.

One is working on the technical implementation of the extension.

In addition, the financing period will be extended and the determination of liquidity requirements will be simplified.
