Mannheim (dpa / lsw) - A protest tent camp on the Heidelberg market square for the evacuation of refugee camps is allowed to take place at night despite the exit restrictions.

The city had only allowed this demonstration during the day.

According to information on Tuesday, the Administrative Court in Mannheim partially granted a complaint by the organizer (Ref .: 1 S 138/21).

The infection protection justifies requirements for meetings.

According to the judges, the city was unable to demonstrate that the participants would not adhere to the distance and hygiene rules at night.

This order can not be contested.

However, only one person is allowed to sleep in each tent.

A complaint against this requirement was unsuccessful.

The demonstrators are demanding the evacuation of refugee camps at the EU's external borders.

The protesters want to spend the night in the tents until Saturday.

Due to the corona pandemic, a nightly exit restriction between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. has applied in the southwest for weeks.

The regulation is intended to reduce the number of contacts and thus help to avoid infection with the Sars-CoV-2 pathogen.
