Leader for six days, Charlie Dalin is still ahead of the Vendée Globe on Tuesday at the end of the day, while he sails far off the Cape Verde Islands, ahead of Thomas Rettant and Damien Seguin.
Dalin (Apivia), who chose the most direct route possible to reach the finish in Les Sables d'Olonne (Vendée), has a 116 nautical mile (215 km) gap on Rettant (LindedOut), which is virtually followed by Seguin (Apicil Group), 3 nm (4.80 km) away.
