Twenty-five students have tested positive for Covid-19 in a college in Pont-du-Château (Puy-de-Dôme), which closed its doors for a week, said the rectorate of the Clermont-Ferrand academy , this Tuesday.

"Twenty-five students have tested positive and the Regional Health Agency (ARS) recommended Monday evening to close the establishment as a precaution for a week," said the chief of staff of the rector of the Academy of Clermont- Ferrand.

A similar closure in the Oise

A fourth class of this establishment of 625 students, the Mortaix college, had already had to close Friday after the detection of several cases.

Monday, "about fifteen students were positive and the prefect of Puy-de-Dôme had taken a decree in the morning to close all fourth and third classes", according to the rectorate.

"Investigations were carried out on site by a team from the academy which tested around 250 students," he said.

"Cases have been detected in all class levels, hence the decision to close completely," added the rectorate.

The reopening date will be specified later and the teaching will be held remotely.

On Monday, a school in the Oise had been closed in Plessis-Belleville after the detection of 27 cases of Covid-19.
