Hamburg / Güster (dpa / lno) - The search for a Hamburg resident who has been missing since October in the Duchy of Lauenburg continues.

"We assume that the 47-year-old was killed," said Ulla Hingst, press spokeswoman for the Lübeck public prosecutor, when asked by the dpa.

So far, however, the body has not been found.

The 47-year-old man was last seen in Güster (Duchy of Lauenburg) on October 20.

After that, according to the information, it was no longer possible to contact him.

Four weeks ago, emergency services with heavy equipment were looking for the man on a campsite in Güster.

Investigators also looked for witnesses using two photos of his car.

They are interested in observations of the dark gray car with eye-catching black rims and Hamburg license plates in the period from October 20 to 26, as well as information on possible occupants, as the public prosecutor announced.

The missing person's car was found burned out in Geesthacht on October 26th.

The Lübeck public prosecutor's office and the Lübeck murder commission took over the investigation, as they assume a suspected crime scene in the Duchy of Lauenburg.
