19 January 2021 It was a nervous session for the European stock exchanges.

All the main lists ended in negative territory: Milan lost 0.25%, Frankfurt 0.24%, Paris 0.33% and London 0.11%.



No tension on government bonds.

Pending the vote in the Senate, the spread between the Italian BTP and the German Bund has fallen to 107 basis points, with the yield of our ten-year at 0.59%.



Overseas optimism prevails in view of the Biden settlement tomorrow and in the wake of the words of the head of the economy Yellen, who calls on Congress to "act in a big way" and quickly approve the aid package for families and businesses.



To push Wall Street - with the Dow Jones at + 0.33% and the Nasdaq at + 0.78% - are also the quarterly reports of the big American banks.


Meanwhile, the Stellantis stock also made its debut on the New York stock exchange, flying + 10.41% (in Piazza Affari + 2.60%).
