Berlin (dpa / bb) - Because they are said to have been involved in a robbery on an elderly couple, three men have to answer before the Berlin district court from Tuesday (12.30 p.m.).

According to investigations, a 33-year-old defendant entered the victim's apartment with a separately pursued accomplice in August 2018 armed with a pistol.

They tied the couple, gagged them and forced them to hand over valuables.

The alleged perpetrators are said to have stolen money, jewelry and coins worth 18,000 euros.

A 31-year-old defendant is said to have waited in the getaway car and secured the area.

The third defendant is charged with aiding and abetting.

He is considered a tipster.
