Hamburg (dpa / lno) - The power struggle in the presidium of Hamburger SV eV with its more than 30 departments is to be decided in the next few weeks.

According to information from NDR 90.3, the HSV Honorary Council has submitted a motion to vote against Vice President Thomas Schulz and requested an extraordinary general meeting for this.

This should take place no later than six weeks after submitting the application.

Schulz and Treasurer Moritz Schaefer have different views than President Marcell Jansen (35) on important issues.

It concerns the candidates for the supervisory board of the football club and the possible sale of further shares in the club.

Several HSV committees are said to have backed Jansen, they say.

A leading group from the ranks of the powerful supporters with around 70,000 members wants to introduce a request to change the legal form of the football club at the next ordinary general meeting.

The aims to convert the stock corporation into a partnership limited by shares (GmbH & Co. KGaA).

This could mean that more shares could be sold.

The 50 + 1 rule, which says that the majority of the outsourced licensed player division remains in club ownership, is not violated.

Borussia Dortmund, for example, chose this legal form.

It is uncertain whether the group will meet with the majority of Supporters.
