Following the decision of the Korean court on the issue of comfort women, members of the Liberal Democratic Party's diplomatic subcommittee met with Foreign Minister Motegi, filed a lawsuit against the government in the International Court of Justice, and the newly appointed Korean Ambassador to the Sosei I handed over a resolution requesting that I postpone my appointment.

Following a decision by a South Korean court to order compensation from the Japanese government over the comfort women issue, Masahisa Sato, the chairman of the Liberal Democratic Party's Foreign Affairs Department, met with Foreign Minister Motegi at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the 19th and told the government. I handed over a resolution requesting a prompt response.



The resolution urged the Korean government to take concrete and appropriate measures to correct the state of violation of international law in South Korea as soon as possible, and as a countermeasure, it was filed in the International Court of Justice and newly appointed. We are requesting that you consider postponing the appointment of South Korean Ambassador Sosei.



It is also requested to consider measures such as asset freeze and financial sanctions of the Korean government in Japan in preparation for seizure of assets of the Japanese government in South Korea.



Minister Motegi said to Chairman Sato and others, "I would like to take it firmly and respond."
