Husum (dpa / lno) - The number of employees and patients who tested positive for the coronavirus at the North Friesland Clinic at the Husum and Niebüll locations has increased to 138.

That's five more than on Monday.

There are currently 1308 employees and 852 patients in quarantine, the district of North Friesland announced on Tuesday.

After a corona outbreak at the clinic, around 1,400 employees had been tested since Saturday.

The vast majority of the results are now available, said a district spokesman.

Thereafter, 42 employees in Husum and 34 employees in Niebüll tested positive for the corona virus.

One of them is being treated in the hospital, the others are reportedly in quarantine at home.

44 of the patients in Husum and 22 in Niebüll tested positive for the coronavirus.

Because of the corona outbreak, a freeze was imposed on the houses in Husum and Niebüll on January 17th.

The clinic and the authorities are currently working to ensure that patients can be admitted again from Friday, said the district spokesman.
