Paderborn (dpa) - FSV Zwickau has fought for a point in the relegation battle of the 3rd soccer league.

The team of coach Joe Enochs came on Tuesday in the catch-up game at SC Verl to a 1: 1 (0: 1) draw.

After an own goal by Mike Könnecke (2nd minute), Ronny König (49th) equalized after the break.

Enochs had to do without Marco Schikora for a short time.

The full-back sustained a muscular injury in the final training session.

Instead, Nils Miatke, who was recently absent due to a red card and a lack of training, returned to the starting line-up.

The FSV fell behind with the hosts' first attack.

The losers combined on the left side into the Zwickau penalty area, where Julian Schwermann came to a stand-alone conclusion.

Könnecke falsified the shot into his own goal, making it untenable for goalkeeper Johannes Brinkies.

The hit gave the climber security.

Berkan Taz missed the second goal in the 13th minute.

His shot from 18 meters hit the crossbar of the Zwickau goal.

Before the break, the FSV was only able to score a dangerous finish through Manfred Starke, who failed with a free kick at Verl's goalkeeper Robin Brüseke (33rd).

After the break, the Saxons found their way into the game better and equalized in the 49th minute.

After a free kick from Starke, König maneuvered the ball in the center with his foot over the line.

Subsequently, both teams missed further opportunities to win.
