Mainz (dpa / lrs) - After hours of deliberations between the federal government and the states about measures to contain the corona pandemic, the Rhineland-Palatinate Prime Minister Malu Dreyer postponed the planned public information to Wednesday.

The press conference will only take place on Wednesday afternoon (1.30 p.m.), announced the State Chancellery in Mainz on Tuesday evening.

Dreyer said on Monday that she expected “a constructive round in the Chancellery”.

There was agreement during the deliberations between the heads of state government and Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel that the restrictions on public life should continue until February 14, as the German Press Agency learned from the federal-state deliberations on both sides. However, there was initially no agreement on an entire resolution paper. According to dpa information, there was a longer discussion about how to proceed at the schools.
