Augsburg (dpa / lby) - FC Augsburg has explicitly backed goalkeeper Rafal Gikiewicz after his criticism of his own colleagues.
After the 2-0 draw at Werder Bremen, the goalkeeper had accused his front men of an overly relaxed approach to the situation in the Bundesliga and thus “hit the point,” said coach Heiko Herrlich on Tuesday.
"He has full support there."
The coach compared his keeper's appeal with Oliver Kahn's famous “We need eggs” slogan.

The fact that Gikiewicz made his criticism public in a TV interview was not okay, emphasized Herrlich.
But he again praised the Pole's attitude.
