Munich (dpa) - A judge has a conscience after his son escapes in an accident and fears the revenge of a clan chief - a story that currently inspires many television producers.
A few days after the start of the streaming series “Your Honor” on Sky, ARD Degeto and the Austrian radio broadcaster ORF followed suit.
The six-part thriller series “Your Honor” with Sebastian Koch, Paula Beer and Tobias Moretti has been filmed in Vienna for around a week, announced ARD Degeto and Squareone Productions on Tuesday in Munich.
The broadcast is planned for the end of the year in the first.
"Breaking Bad" star Bryan Cranston plays the judge in the US film version available on Sky.
Sebastian Koch (“Werk ohne Autor”) takes on the role in the ARD series and fights organized crime as judge Jacobi.
His son Julian (Taddeo Kufus) has an accident in which the child of a Serbian clan chief is seriously injured.
Julian flees in a panic.
His father fears the clan's revenge and becomes entangled in a web of lies, manipulation, and violence.

Paula Beer ("Bad Banks") plays a woman who has taken over a drug cartel.
And Tobias Moretti (“Bad Banks”) can be seen as a powerful manufacturer.
Filming, directed by David Nawrath (“Atlas”), will run until mid-April in Vienna, Innsbruck and the surrounding area.
As with the US version, it is based on the “Kvodo” series from Israel.
ARD Degeto and Squareone Productions emphasize that «your honor» is «not a 1: 1 broadcast».
The story will be relocated to Austria and the events will be brought into the audience's world.
«We are sure that" Your Honor "will develop its very own atmosphere and pull of history."
TV stations in other countries are also working on adapting «Kvodo», for example in Italy.
According to Squareone Productions, the French version will unite Gérard Dépardieu and Kad Mérad in front of the camera.
