During the corona year 2020, most of the teaching has taken place at a distance from home.

Clas Hättestrand, who is vice-rector at Stockholm University, says that all higher education institutions and universities he has been in contact with have had the same problem, an incredible increase in students who are suspected of having cheated during the year.

"Disappearing small share"

Stockholm University has 30,000 to 35,000 students and the vice-chancellor emphasizes that there are still very few who go there for cheating, but that every cheating student is a failure.

At the same time, the dark figure can be large.

- Each student completes several examinations each semester, so there is still a vanishingly small proportion who cheat, says Hättestrand.

At Lappkärrsberget's student housing, SVT meets the students Hanne Brundin and Isak Einberg who are upset about the cheating - hear them tell in the video.
