Munich (dpa / lby) - The number of new corona infections in Bavaria has risen by 2,781 within one day.

According to the figures reported by the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) on Tuesday, 15 districts and urban districts were above the incidence value of 200 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days.

232 new deaths within 24 hours were reported.

The current figures contain late registrations, as incomplete data from Bavaria were received by the RKI on Monday.

The city of Bayreuth currently has the highest incidence value with 292.8, followed by the city of Ansbach and the Regen district.

On Monday, 13 counties and cities were above the incidence value of 200.

For municipalities with this incidence value, the 15-kilometer rule applies.

After that, their residents are only allowed to go on excursions within a radius of no more than 15 kilometers.

The rule comes into force automatically for the first time as soon as the RKI reports more than 200 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within one week in urban or rural districts.

The seven-day incidence for all of Bavaria was 136.1 according to the RKI.

Nationwide, the authority reported a value of 131.5.

The highest values ​​among the federal states are recorded in Thuringia with 256.3 and Saxony with 225.7.
