“The court session was postponed to January 29 due to the poor health of the defendant Galiyev,” a court spokesman told reporters.

In November, the Sixth Cassation Court in Samara overturned the verdict of the Bashkir Armed Forces and sent the case for a new trial.

Three ex-police officers are under house arrest.

According to the investigation, on the night of October 30, 2018, the police attacked a 23-year-old interrogator in one of the police departments in the Ufa region of Bashkiria and raped her.

They were later fired.

Initially, the defendants were assigned from six to seven years in prison, later Eduard Matveyev and Salavat Galiev were acquitted, and the sentence was commuted to Pavel Yaromchuk.
