Hanover (dpa / lni) - The Corona special committee of the Lower Saxony state parliament is today questioning a number of experts on the effectiveness of the measures to contain the pandemic.

Specifically, the session will deal with the state of research on the spread and transmission of the virus and the consequences for public and private life.

The Göttingen physicist Viola Priesemann, the Bonn virologist Hendrik Streeck and regional bishop Petra Bahr, who is a member of the German Ethics Council, participate via video link.

The opposition in the state parliament has been calling for parliament to be more involved in corona policy for months.
