Eberswalde / Berlin (dpa / bb) - Graffiti sprayers sprayed several trains in Berlin and Brandenburg.

Some of them were provisionally arrested, the federal police announced on Monday.

On Saturday evening, officials noticed a trio at the Eberswalde (Barnim) train station.

So it was just about to spray a parked freight train.

When the police approached, the sprayers fled to an allotment garden.

A police helicopter was used, a 17-year-old suspect could be arrested.

He was then handed over to his parents.

At the Friedrichshagen S-Bahn station, railway employees observed a 25-year-old on Saturday, according to police, as he sprayed a parked S-Bahn.

The railway employees stopped the young man and handed him over to the federal police.

On Sunday evening, civil forces from the federal police noticed two men entering the platform area at the Berlin-Marienfelde S-Bahn station.

While the duo was still spraying a parked S-Bahn, the police arrested the two 25 and 44-year-old suspects.

In all cases, the Federal Police initiated investigations into property damage against the sprayers known to the police.

Sprayer equipment had been confiscated.

“In this context, the Federal Police warns of the dangers that arise when stepping onto the tracks.

Trains travel at high speed, sometimes approach silently and cannot avoid obstacles.

The associated dangers are often underestimated and life threatening, ”it said.

The perpetrators would also face civil law consequences of several thousand euros.
