Düsseldorf (dpa / lnw) - According to Health Minister Karl-Josef Laumann (CDU), the corona infection numbers in North Rhine-Westphalia are at a high level with a downward trend.

"The situation is continuously easing," said Laumann on Monday in Düsseldorf.

There was also some relief in the intensive care units.

With the exception of the city of Bielefeld, no independent city and no district have a 7-day incidence above the value of 200. However, Laumann made it clear that despite the improvement, the numbers in Germany and North Rhine-Westphalia are still too high.
